Let's play out a conversation in our heads so I don't have it out loud and get in trouble.
Me: I can’t deal with all of your shoes.
Ali: Why?
Me: They are all in the living room.
Ali: Oh.
Me: Every pair you own.
Ali: Every pair of shoes you own are in the living room.
Me: Yeah, but I own three pairs of shoes.
Pretty bold assumption that you won’t get into any trouble by having the theoretical argument entirely non-verbally. Ali is giving the impression that you are still in trouble.
