The handshake blow off! Obama went in for the shake and McCain blew him off! Obama even patted McCain on the back!
It was not entirely a blow-off … I think they shook hands and stood next to each other when they blocked Brokaw in the closing. It looked like McCain was just trying to tell Obama that Cindy was there.
I am a big fan of Obama, but I’m not a big advocate of manufacturing more reasons to dislike McCain if it’s relatively unsubstantiated based on the forced perspective of a single camera view on CNN.
If I’m wrong, it was a “Maverick” move. That’ll teach you to expect McCain to stay true to those worn-out etiquette rules. :-)
