not much of a post, but there it is. i don’t like the show. i don’t like steve carell. he is not funny to me. i don’t like people who like the show. there are better things to watch. why do people watch it? i haven’t been given a good reason, but i guess either people don’t watch tv people for a reason, or because they genuinely don’t have a reason.
i expect some amount of hate mail in the near future, but i’m not changing my position.
For me, it’s a combination of “yeah, that’s totally how my office is” and “I can’t wait to see how this character one-ups him/herself.” I never got into it until I watched it with someone who was into it (which is the same way I got hooked on Monty Python and House).
“I don’t like people who like the show.” Is a pretty bold statement, Joshee. Consider this post as semi-anonymous hate mail. :-)
